An icon of contemporary design, the Ultrafragola mirror/lamp was conceived in 1970 by the legendary Ettore Sottsass Jr. Inspired by the flowing waves of feminine hair, it was transformed into a bold, sculptural statement piece—ideal for living rooms, bathrooms, luxury boutiques, spas, or stylish hotel lobbies.

The frame is crafted from thermoformed translucent opaline plastic, which emits a soft, dreamy pink glow. The lighting is provided by a double RGB LED strip (120 LEDs/m, 8 meters total), encased in a custom opaline PMMA diffuser designed to ensure 360° light diffusion. Alternatively, a version with neon tubes is available.

Both lighting options offer the same level of brightness, though the color tone differs slightly: the neon version emits a warmer pink, while the LED version initially appears brighter, then gradually softens to the classic Ultrafragola hue within a few minutes. Both versions require a short warm-up period to reach full brightness.

Each Ultrafragola is produced using the original 1970 aluminum mold, ensuring continuity with the original design. All components are handcrafted in-house, including the precision assembly, plastic finishing, and integrated wall-mounting system. The rear panel is made of fire-retardant Forex.

To guarantee authenticity, every Ultrafragola is stamped with a unique serial number on the back, certifying its originality and its 100% Made in Italy heritage.
