Even before the Great War, Renzo Frau had already discovered the Chesterfield sofas and armchairs featured in London’s most exclusive clubs. He immediately saw the potentiality of that item and decided to initially import the original models to Italy and suddenly produce them himself, making some major changes. It was thus that Frau’s Chester was born in 1912 and hand-crafted, just as it is today.
